As someone who works in the fickle world of fashion I can attest to the great wastage and redundancy that occurs when this seasons 'must have item' suddenly becomes passée.
Now, bear with me if you have already heard about it- by the looks of it, it has been getting some press.
The people behind the Uniform Project are – Sheena Matheiken, founder and creative director, and Eliza Starbuck, dress designer and creative partner on the project. Together, the two have formed The Uniform Project Foundation, a creative mission that takes on projects that advocate sustainability and social responsibility. 
She's even rocking the Christmas frock (above)
